Disneyland is all set to celebrate its 70th anniversary this year and it is debuting a whole NEW type of souvenir experience!

Starting on May 16th and continuing through the summer of 2026, Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration will provide an opportunity for “guests of all ages to celebrate happiness while honoring seven decades of Disneyland,” as stated by the company. The event will feature special entertainment, ride enhancements, and, naturally, exclusive merchandise.
In early April 2025, Disney unveiled a preview of the new merchandise items set to debut at the Anaheim resort for the celebration. Among the extensive collections of clothing and vintage-inspired merchandise, Disney also revealed the introduction of an innovative souvenir experience: the Key to Disneyland.

The special Disneyland Keys will be available for purchase at select shops within Disneyland Park or at the World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District starting on May 16th. These keys are designed with lights and additional effects.
Upon purchasing the key, guests can embark on an adventure and activate special features while exploring the 70th Anniversary lock stations in each land of Disneyland Park. Once all nine lands are unlocked, the key will reveal one of nine hidden commemorative keepsake pins inside, adding a touch of magic to the experience. Additionally, the key tracks progress, allowing guests to unlock lands at their convenience throughout the 70th anniversary celebration, whether in a single day or over multiple visits.
The locations of the 70th Anniversary Lock Stations are as follows:
- Disneyland Fire Station on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Aladdin’s Lamp inside Adventureland Bazaar in Adventureland
- In New Orleans Square
- Outside of Pooh Corner in Bayou Country
- Across from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
- Wilderness Expeditions and Delivery Service Wagon (near the entrance to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge) in Frontierland
- Across from Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin in Mickey’s Toontown
- Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland
- Near the exit of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland

The Key to Disneyland experience debuts with Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration on May 16th and will only be available for the duration of the event.
